We are active members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville. We will continue to serve each family in the same spirit as my parents. Losing our son has been the hardest challenge we have faced thus far . Chris at Dickey went above and beyond to make a terribly difficult situation more bearable . On top of that Dickey hosted a memorial service this past Friday to honor all the loved ones that have been lost in the past year.

I married Sonja Sue Sharp of Harrisonville, Missouri on September 16, 1995. Sonja, grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Archie High School, Archie, Missouri in 1981. Together we own and operate Dickey Funeral Homes, Inc. Harrisonville, Missouri and Garden City, Missouri, The Dickey Cottage, Harrisonville and Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. We have 5 children, Brok, Dawson, Alison, Rhyse and Truman who are the joy of our lives.
Memorial Gifts
We expanded our operation purchasing the Stanley and Son Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri in 2007. Randy has been with Dickey Funeral Home since August of 1998. Randy is a lifetime Garden City resident, graduating from Sherwood High School in 1984, MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1992 and Kansas City Kansas Community College in 1999. He is an active member of Heart of Life Church, Garden City, Garden City Community Choir and the Garden City Cemetery Association. In his spare time Randy enjoys singing, hunting for antiques, going to the lake and spending time with family and friends.

Chris is an avid Kansas City Chiefs, Royals and Oklahoma State Cowboys fan . We're honored to assist you in your time of need, and would like to assure you that we'll do everything in our power to make your experience a meaningful and memorable one. Jody has been a resident of Harrisonville, Mo since 1975 and she is an active member of the Harisonville Church of the Nazarene. Prior to retiring, Jody was involved with all Chambers in the County, was secretary and board member of Raymore. Other organizations with involvement were Cass County Fireman’s Association, Chairman of Cass County Net.

Jody was president and director of Harrisonville BPW, member of the Lioness & Square Center Merchants. I grew up in Garden City, Missouri and attended Sherwood High School in Creighton, Missouri graduating in 1972. I did attend Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, Missouri for 3 years and graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in August of 1977. I became a licensed embalmer and funeral director in 1978. I became Vice-President of Dickey Funeral Homes, Inc. in 1980 and purchased my parents share of the business in 1995.
